Daily Valuation Administrator

M.L. Kerns & Associates is a benefits consulting and administration firm that specializes in 401(k)/new comparability and 401(k)/defined benefit combo plans.  We are seeking an experienced, ownership driven person capable of taking over the management of a group of existing daily 401(k) plans on Relius.  The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of ERISA regulations and filings, as well as excellent consulting and presentations skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily administration of 401(k) plans.
• Advise clients on creative plan design.
• Prepare and interpret plan documents.
• Prepare/review annual trust accounting, testing, 5500 form, safe harbor compliance, etc.
• Cultivate existing client relationships.
• Participate in meetings with prospective clients.
• Communicate with principals, clients, financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals on plans.

Ideal qualifications for the position:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• One or more professional designations or advanced degree.
• Minimum 5 years of employee benefits experience with a strong consulting component.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of ERISA, Internal Revenue Code and Regulations and plan design and administration.
• Experience with Relius software.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft software.
